Community Involvement

The health of the community impacts all of us. We support a wide range of community activities and mental health advocacy groups. All of our providers and staff are active in many volunteer organizations and activities. Unfortunately with COVID-19, our ability to participate in community events have limited for the year of 2020. We hope to be able resume our support and advocacy activities as soon as possible.

Janelle, Doug, and Sarah Beth presented critical incident stress training for Hamilton County’s EMR recertification class.

Doug and Janelle completed training with Chattanooga PD’s Crisis Intervention Team and are both now CIT Certified.

May 13-15, 2021

Janelle participated as a webinar panelist to launch the Tennessee First Responder Suicide Prevention Task Force to the public. She is co-chair for the training division.

Janelle and Varenda participated in the Regional Heroin/Opioid Diversion Seminar hosted by the US Attorney’s Office, TBI, and Chattanooga Police Department.

Janelle had the opportunity to present to Southern Adventist University’s graduate students in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program during National Nurse Practitioner Week.

We had the pleasure of meeting Congressman Chuck Fleischmann and participated in the efforts to address the opioid crisis in Chattanooga. We partnered with Denise Eversole of Focus Treatment Centers and Eve Nite of TN Suicide Prevention Network/Erlanger Behavioral Hospital. This event was hosted by Focus Treatment Centers.
